Kaitlin Smith first place!!  Youth Outdoor Connection held their first ever catfish tournament at Jim Booth’s Catfish Ponds in Walnut Cove, NC. First off we want to thank Greg and Lauren for all their help! We had 18 kids fishing from ages 5 to 14. Kaitlin Smith won 1st place with a monster 13 pound 4 oz flathead!!!! Hunter Johnson took 2nd place with a 7 ½ pound channel cat. Natasha Ramer took 3rd place with a 5 pound channel cat. We had a wonderful turn out for this event and are in the process of planning future fishing tournaments at present time. Thanks to all the volunteers who showed up to bait hooks and net fish.
